I have a question about my 17 month old son.?

My son since he was a baby had a problem breathing out of his nose. I use the saline and the suction but that is not good for him to have that done everyday...right. I want to know what is wrong with my son. I asked teh pediatrician and he said give him claritin and that didn't work, so I went back and he said to give him anti biotics. I thought that was CRAZY because he does not have an infection. Then I told the pediatrician that I do not want to give my son antibiotics and he looked at me like I was crazy. He looked in my son's nose and said that he has allergies now. I think that he has no idea what he is talking about. What can I do about my son's nose. I hate to see him struggle to breath. Please help me
