My Chair is all sticky! how do i clean it?

Ok. here's the thing. I just got a new circular chair (like the teen ones ya know it's circular and collapsible) and just today i spilled a little bit of soup broth on it. it's a very small patch and i don't see it because it's black but, since the material was like a short shag (kinda feels like a waterdogs fur) the little bristles are now kinda stiff. is there any way to spot clean this?
