Sick Puppy ...Pls help urgent....?

I found a puppy lying unconscious on the road getting totally drenched in the rain. he had a wound on his back and maggots were feeding on it.I covered him in a blanket and took him to the doc. The doc said he cant be left outside coz hes too weak and needs intensive care indoors. She gave him a shot and applied some liquid medicine on the wound. She said the maggots will die and start falling out which u need to keep cleaning. The doc suggested that any place like ur garage where it wud be dry and warm wud be good enough coz at home we already had a pug and the stray pup had ticks and lies.Nonetheless we decided to take him home. We used a hair dryer on low speed and low heat to warm him and covered him in a thick blanket.He was dead cold. Slowly, in a couple of hours his body regained body temp. He responds when we touch him by moving his head away or yawning and stretching his hands and feet. when we touch his face we can see that he moves his eye lids. However, he does not seem to be opening his eyes.Seems to be in a deep slumber. the following morning my mum fed him some milk. He wud not drink on his own coz as i said he seems to be in a very deep sleep. So my mum used a filler and carefully put few drops in his mouth. He was gulping it down in his sleep. We had to give him the medication that the doc had prescribed. MAX KIDTAB and BETNESOL. supposedly the former was for the maggot wound and the latter for energy. After the milk he pissed and also pooped though he did all this in his sleep just like a human baby does. Is this a good sigh of recovery? What are the chances of his survival. how long will it take. Do u think hes showing signs of Distemper or is just the maggot wound and the consequent infection thats making him sick? PLEAS PLEASE PLEASE REPLY...
