How long until the bacteria starts showing up for the fishless cycle?

Ok, so its been four days since I put ammonia in my new tank. The ammonia has been 5 ppm since then and I was wondering when will the bacteria start showing up? Is there anything that will fasten the appearance of the bacteria so they can start colonizing? I dechlorinated my water well (I actually put more dechlorinated conditioner than i was supposed to do which i researched was fine). The tank is 35 gallons and I have a filter than can do up to 50 gallons. My heater is set to 85 degrees F.
