I have a huge decision to make?

Hello ok so here is my situation my mom lives in California and me and my brother live in Michigan my mom wants me and my bro to drive down to west virgina to see her and my family but my mom and I had a bad past and every time I give her a chance to change she never does. My fiance doesn't want me to go see her because of the way she used to treat me he said that if i go down there then he will be very upset with me and i dint know if I should go down plus if I dont go then my brother is going to drive my car which kinda upsets me because my mom uses my car to control me because she bought it for me and whenever i dont do something that she wants she jerks it away so what should i do should i go or not?
